In response to the community needs of the Mount Eliza area, the Mornington Peninsula Shire has established and operates the Kunyung After School Program, located in the Multi-Purpose room at Kunyung Primary School.
The Program is conducted on school days from 3.15pm to 6.30pm for primary school aged children. It provides an alternative for families who work or have other commitments and require care for their child/ren after school, but parents do need to phone the Supervisor to book in as we do need enrolment forms to be completed before your child attends.
There are always two staff members present at the program and all staff either have a qualification in education, recreation, children's services, have related experience or are working towards such a qualification.
Kunyung Primary School children make their way to the program from their class room. An attendance roll is taken.
A nutritious afternoon snack is provided followed by a wide range of stimulating, fun and creative activities within a safe and nurturing environment.
Children must be signed out with time clearly marked each time they attend.
Sunsmart Policy is enforced - children need a "sunsmart hat" every day from September to the end of April.

Our fees are:
$15.50 per child per session for Permanent Booked Care.
$17.50 per child per session for Casual Care.
$6.00 per child per session per hour before 3.30pm for early finish days.
$20.00 Annual Family Registration fee.
$20.00 per 15 minutes late pick up fee.
Fees are paid fortnightly in arrears.
Kunyung After School Program is an accredited, registered service and therefore able to offer Child Care Benefit to all eligible families, reducing the fees.
